Chris Avery, CMP, has over 30 years’ experience in the field of technology sales within the hospitality industry.
A key contributor at Cvent, he has helped to develop and execute sales practices leading to significant growth in the company’s Hotel Direct market segment. Milestone contributions already include Marriott, Hilton, Fairmont hotels, Gaylord Hotels, most of the hotels in Las Vegas, all Crowne Plaza and InterContinental branded hotels in North America and leading individual hotels such as Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons.
Previous employment credentials include being the first sales person at Newmarket International (Delphi) and, as a contributor/manager, helping to grow the company from having only 6 employees to over 2,000 hotel customers.
Was voted one of the top 25 sales people by the Hotel Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Chris’ other credentials include CMP, CHME certification and a BA in Hotel Administration. Chris is a graduate of a year long management training program with Hyatt hotels and also enjoyed successful sales positions with Hyatt and Ritz Carlton Hotel companies. Chris has served as VP of Business Development for Passkey since March, 2003.

Doug Carr

Information Systems Strategy, AccorHotels

Doug has been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years. Starting at an independent hotel in the Toronto “airport strip” area then moving into a corporate level position with Delta Hotels where he stayed for 5 years. Doug then moved to the predecessors of AccorHotels and has played progressively more senior roles in the company over the past 20 years. His career has been centered in the area of Distribution with a focus on maximizing revenue and brand awareness through electronic channels of distribution for all market segments. Doug was an active member on the board of HEDNA (Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association) as Vice President. In the early 2000’s Doug also served two consecutive 2-year stints on the HEDNA board. He has also served on a Sabre customer advisory panel, served as for DHISCO (a technology services company), was a member of the Passkey Executive Advisory Board, has conducted HEDNA University training sessions, has been guest speaker at industry conferences and is the 2012 recipient of HSMAI’s “Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing’.In May of 2018 Doug started a new role within AccorHotels in the newly created Information Technology Strategic Projects group. He has a variety products relating to reservation services and distribution such as central reservation systems, payment solutions and point-of-sale solutions.
